I just finished Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I have been reading it for quite a while, and I am glad it’s over. Here’s my review:

It was a good book. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t all that it was hyped up to be. I previously read The Da Vinci Code and once I started Angels and Demons, everyone told me that Angels and Demons was so much more interesting and intense. I am not so sure. I felt like the entire book was far-fetched. Really Dan Brown, that all happens in less than 24 hours?
However, I do enjoy Dan Brown’s writing style. He writes as if you were reading a screen play. He bounces around to different characters thoughts as if we were following them with a camera. It does keep it interesting and very readable.

Which makes me think that the movie will be good. It should not be to hard to adapt this novel into a screenplay. Dan Brown did all the work. I did not like the movie version of The Da Vinci Code. I had literally just finished the book when I saw the film and that is never a good idea. Tom Hanks in the lead role of Robert Langdon (with bad hair) really threw me off. And because of the way the Catholic Church is portrayed in the book, they could not shoot a lot in the Vatican City, where 95% of the story takes place.

But the preview looks great. I guess we’ll see on May 15th.
