Michael Jackson's Moonwalker

Here is something to cheer you up from all the sad media coverage of Michael Jackson.  A friend posted this on facebook and it made me so happy that I had to put it on here.  This is  Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker game for Sega.  The game was released in 1990 and was co-developed by Jackson himself.

You follow Michael through stages as he tries to save the kidnapped children from the evil ‘Mr. Big.’  It may seem a little strange considering his allegations, but it is amazing.  I would love to play it now.  This is the reason I love Michael Jackson and always will.  He is truly timeless.

footnote: Watch the clip all the way through.  There is choreography at the end.

The entertainment industry lost two timeless icons today.  Farrah Fawcett (62) and Michael Jackson (50) both passed away today.  I am heart-broken and shocked.  Both of these stars are legends whose legacy will live on.

Farrah Fawcett lost her battle to cancer this morning.  She is best known for her role as Jill Munroe on the T.V. series Charlie’s Angels.  She is a multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee.  Farrah Fawcett is also know as a sex symbol for her best-selling poster (seen above).  Her beautiful golden hair was world renowned and the style is now named after her.  She is truly an American treasure and will be missed.

Michael Jackson is simply the King of Pop.  He was collapsed in his home today and was suffering from cardiac arrest.  He passed away this afternoon.  His career began at an early age of 8 in the hit group the Jackson 5.  After years of physical and mental abuse from this father, Michael Jackson broke off into a solo career that has yet to be topped.

Thriller

He went on to make classic albums including Off the Wall and Thriller (the best selling album of all time).  As Michael grew older, so did his career.  Although the media became more focused on the negative aspects of his career, including his changing physical image and his trial with child molestation, Michael Jackson remains the best performer of all time. Jackson was working on a comeback tour that was set to start in London in two weeks.

Michael Jackson

The world is shocked from the loss of this legend.  I would not be surpised to see the world react similarly as the loss of Princess Diana.  Like Princess Di, everyone loved Michael.  Dispite the rough patches of his career, I am sure Michael Jackson will be remembered for his music and untouchable talent.  R.I.P. Michael and Farrah.  My thoughts are will both of your families and friends.
